I think this movie may be interesting for a couple of reasons.

Mostly because of the time it is set in, the 1860's. You get to see swords, cannon, musket and bow all fighting one another.

Then there is the look at Chinese history. Education in USA doesn't tend to cover the history of that part of the world so maybe it will help fill in some blanks.
